Putting French into Words in Urban Areas Batnean

Abstract

Our study mainly centered on the city of Batna engages reflection on the representations of the French language of the speakers in two different districts: one is considered a residential district, the other as popular. From a methodological point of view, our approach is empirical since our aim is to propose an interpretative analysis of the discourse of each respondent. We have not contented ourselves with making an inventory of the representations of the French language among the informants of the two districts, since we have paid the utmost attention to the points which seem to approximate and /or distinguish epilinguistic discourse.
