Abstract

Urban sociolinguistics is a discipline that is interested not only in the study language practices of speakers from urban areas, but also to speech epilinguistics formulated on languages (minor, minority, increased and majority). As far as we are concerned, we realized that we do not have, to today, of any study linking the representations of space and the discourses epilinguistics in the Batnean urban environment. We then decided to conduct our research around this urban center that is Batna, a city where several coexist languages: dialectal Arabic, modern Arabic, Chaoui and French. We wonder on the relationship that may exist between space and the representations of the Chaouie language. How do the performances take place when moving from one neighborhood to another? And what report establish our informants between the representations of each and space?
