Abstract

Based on a corpus formed during a research-action-training conducted in Saint-Etienne between 2013-2015 aimed at
identifying successful teaching practices in the promotion of languages and cultures in the classroom, this article aims at
studying the postures of the teacher in a context of linguistic and cultural plurality. It feeds on research in sociolinguistics,
didactics of languages and sciences of education. By questioning them through the concepts of the gap and the between developed
by François Jullien, he seeks to open a space for reflection not only on the postures of the teacher in context of linguistic
plurality situation, but also on the interest of Jullien's thought about sociolinguistics and language didactics.
