Abstract

The Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) has become a vast and complex reality. Originally, the CMC designated all the methods of communication takes place via the machine. It is not defined by its practical dimension, but it involves a social and linguistic dimension of maintained between participating members to various discussions (synchronous / asynchronous discussions) via internet relationships. These links have converted the support (computer) its utility character through a mediator. The first impacts of this transformation appear in the way we communicate with others, so in the discourse adopted, and now called "Speech Electronic Media (SEM). This contribution is intended to be a state of research on Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). A theme that has served as an object of study and interests countless individual and collective work, sociology, psychology and sociolinguistics. At first, this inventory is an opportunity for us to realize a series of works dealing with the CMC. Second, we propose to put in perspective the one hand the different results, and other key aspects of the CMC have attracted the interest of the scientific community. All the research shows that the electronic language is a language without borders.
