This article concentrates on the relation between self-identity compared to media identity (media stereotype) of the other in the chronicles of Le Quotidien d’Oran “RainaRaikoum” OF KamelDaoud and “Tranche de Vie” of El-Guellil. “It’s the confrontation of the other which makes emerge the identity, makes it exist and externalize it” (Liapiansky, 1993:36). The press maintains with his readers certain relation based on several conceptions of reality. The process of selection, of framing and production of information and the staging of events leads to the development of the media reality different from the socialreality.
