Réflexions épistémologiques autour de l’état de la dénomination et de la hiérarchisation des langues dans le discours universitaire algérien
Keywords:
sabir, analphabétisme trilingue, arabe dialectal, semilinguismeAbstract
This contribution aims to question the recurring use of certain designations such as «sabir», «trilingual illiteracy», «dialectal Arabic», «semilinguism» etc. These appellations, functioning as «concepts» in the Algerian academic discourse, establish an associative habit between them and the elements of sociolinguistic reality. The latter does not advance the state of critical reflection on the subject. Subsumed by ideologies, they participate in a status quo that resists critical deconstruction, hence the re-creation of traditional, diglossic and satellite schemes in the description/treatment of languages spoken in Algeria.
