Mohammed Dib: Towards a definition of a so-called language of writing
Keywords:
M.Dib, langue d'écriture, "atal", traces, écriturebilingue, écriture mystérieuseAbstract
We attempt in this work to reflect on an Arab work Ŗatlalŗ that is mentioned
in three of Mohammed Dibřs works: le Désert sans détour, l’Infante maure
and l’Arbre à dires. What meaning does the author intend to assign to this
word? The word Ŗatlalŗ leads us to consider the presence of a particular
bilingual writing proper to its author who aims that the two languages, the
native tongue and French, combine in order to form a language that we may
call Ŗthe writing languageŗ.
