L’axiologie et l’impossible compromis dans les écrits de Tahar Djaout des années 1990
Keywords:
semiotics, axiology, euphoria, dysphoria, cohabitationAbstract
In this article, we will show that the ideas of the writer and journalist Tahar Djaout on the impossible coexistence of two diametrically opposed social projects, namely the Republic and the theocracy, developed in his chronicles of the 90th, are also present in his two latest novels Watchmen and The Last Summer of Reason, written during the same period. By borrowing some of its concepts to semiotics, including that of axiology, we will see how is translated this impossible reconciliation of these two projects at the thematic (abstract) and figuratively (concrete) levels. Exploring the axiological component will highlight the lack of a common denominator which can serve as a base for a probable compromise between the various protagonists.
