Vol. 2 No. 3 (2014): Language Contacts and Computer Mediated Communication (CMO)

The subject of this issue of the journal SocLes follows the work of the study day organized by LISODIP (December 2013). The aim was to review research in the field of language contacts in computer-mediated communication (CMO).
Since the first work in this field (Anis, 1986; 1987; 1991), research shows that the CMO constitutes an area of multicultural socialization and language contacts (Atifi, 2007; Feussi, 2007; Ledegen, 2007; Legros et al. 2000; Lomicka and Lord, 2009; Marcoccia and Atifi, 2006). On the other hand, in the digital era (Baccino, 2004; Baccino et al, 2005) and globalization, the CMO is the basic vector for learning/teaching (Beetham and Sharpe, 2007; Legros and Bounouara, 2010; Zaidieh, 2012) and a challenge for research and didactics.
