The subject of this issue of the journal Socles follows the
work of the study days organized by LISODIP (May
2012). Our concern was to submit for discussion
some points of reflection on the way in which researchers,
notably in the fields of sociolinguistics and
didactics of languages and cultures, problematize — with a view
to re-configure them — fundamental concepts such as
variety, variation, context, etc. The starting point of this
reflection is to allow researchers to confront their
points of view, to share their work and that, in a
dialogical complex, reflexive, hermeneutical eminently
alteritaire. The main question that guides the journey of this
number is to question the interpretative scope and
heuristic of concepts such as linguistic variety, variation,
context, situation, contextualization.
